    Thanks for the article. I still don’t understand this chart https://www.monetary-metals.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/falling_silver_jul2017.jpg. What am I looking at? It seems as if this contract went into backwardation roughly 96 days before expiry?
    Another question – perhaps you have expanded on this before – what is your explanation why for gold and silver banks have such large net short positions? http://www.cftc.gov/MarketReports/BankParticipationReports/deadec17f I see for some other commodities it’s exactly the same (net short) so it doesn’t have to mean a thing, but I was wondering.
